The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Barack Obama’s ancestors were slave owners. It is an interesting claim.

Now this has almost nothing to do with Obama’s policies or capability to lead and so I am somewhat hesitant to even get into it. However race, slavery, red and blue state politics and history etc. will all play a big role in this election so I figured I should include it. In addition it is a rather interesting and American story. A white woman whose family were slave owners marrying a black man from Africa, in many ways that is what makes America such an amazing place and our species so interesting.
