#1 – Second Choice Voters Went Overwhelmingly to Edwards
- Based on TPM Election Central noted that based on Entrance Polls Edwards not Obama received the majority of support from second choice votes. Clinton & Obama walked in with the bulk of their support in most precincts with Obama scoring some extra momentum from those who supported “also-ran” candidates.

#2 – Youth-Turnout
- The youth vote went overwhelmingly to Senator Barack Obama based on entrance polling. 22% of those voting were 17 – 29 years old of which 57% supported Obama. Next up 18% of the vote were ages 30-44 of which 42% went for Obama. Then the majority of the vote. These two groups made up 40% of the vote.

Clinton was the clear favorite of those 65 and older who represented 22% of the vote. She received 45% of this demographic. Meanwhile those 45 – 64 were split pretty evenly amongst the three with John Edwards squeaking out 1% more in this demographic.

#3 – 73% of the Vote Made Up Their Minds Early

73% in the entrance polling said they had made up their minds a month or over about whom to Caucus for. Only

#4 – Change
- 52% of the people voted based on wanting change. Of this 51% went in ready to caucus for Obama. Meanwhile only 20% voted based on experience of which Clinton garnered 49% of those going in. Only 8% based their decision based on electability of which Edwards won 36% of the vote with Obama coming in third with only 23% of these voters.
