60 Minutes brings candidates in hi-def

CBS’ 60 Minutes this Sunday will air a special High-Definition broadcast featuring interviews with presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain.
CBS News says that starting Sunday all 60 Minutes broadcasts will be in high-def. The Sunday broadcast, which begins at 7 p.m. ET, will mark the program’s 40th anniversary as well as its high-def debut.
The candidates will be interviewed separately on such issues as the economy, energy, health care and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. CBS News says Steve Kroft will interview Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate, while Scott Pelley will interview the GOP nominee, McCain.
The network says that all 60 Minutes broadcasts will include field and studio cameras in high-def, starting Sunday.

Nice to see it finally move to hi-def but the audio is a disappointment. — you need to back off the compression.
