My advice for the candidates

October 6th, 2008

In very frank terms…

Get an economic message together beyond waiting for the $700 Billion bailout to work and get it before tomorrow night. Tomorrow is a town hall meeting, which means average Americans will be answering questions that are vetted by the MSM. So ducking and weaving and ignoring the moderator won’t work. Number one on their agenda will no doubt be the economy and “I helped bail out a bunch of crooks and it could take months to work” just isn’t going to cut it.

For all the time these campaigns are spending sharpening their attacks, they should be spending five times that building some kind of serious economic agenda that reads “My administration Year One.” Without it, you can kiss a good deal of that much hyped electoral enthusiasm good-bye.

  1. Chuck Dennis Says:

So far, the world has tried to solve a major economic crisis to no success…better put, man has tried to solve this economic crisis with no success. Every major country on the planet has fought a war for freedom or to break from tyranny and oppression. Whether it be the Crusades or the founding of America, there was always a high er purpose than one's self existence. In the case of the founding of America, there was no force more front and center than praying for God's guidance and grace in forming this great land. I urge every American to begin asking God to help them make a difference in this world and together to bring the focus back on the basic lessons and teachings His son left behind. When this occurs, the financial crisis, and all other wordly problems, will disappear. Think about it, has anything else (ie: $700 billion bailout, Social Security, Welfare, etc. really ever worked)?
