Senator Joe Biden one of the gaffee kings in politics has now made his way back onto YouTube this time being caught telling someone he will “shove,” the Iraq spending bill “down the presidents throat.”
- Make sure to check out John & Elizabeth Edwards tonight on your local CBS affiliate (scheduled for 7:00pm but is often delayed for sports) on ‘60 Minutes
- Senator Hillary Clinton will appear tomorrow morning at 7am to answer questions in a town hall meeting on Good Morning America.
ElectionGeek got a trackback at World and Global Politics Blog for yesterdays recap of Senator Joe Biden’s comments about Barack Obama. ["I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"] So thank you for that.
Meanwhile as predicted the story is spreading through the blogosphere and the mainstream media. The New York Times reports Biden Unwraps His Bid for ’08 With an Oops! which includes a statement made by Al Sharpton to Senator Biden in a phone call “I told him I take a bath every dayâ€Â. The article also provides a good point by point reconstruction of the events after Biden made the comment.
This is going to take some time to work through the blogosphere (by time I mean a good hour or so) but it is being reported that Senator Joe Biden who has announced intent to run for President has said the following about Barack Obama: “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy”
Now the original source of the story at the observer isn’t loading, my guess because it is now linked from Drudge and several other big Internet places (I am guessing it is in TotalFark now and will make Fark sometimes today) so it is bogged down. I used to believe if it didn’t come up it was because there was something untrue but have since learned as long as the source is somewhat reputable it is a traffic issue.
Anyway Gen. Wesley Clark was recently hit for some Jewish comments he made that made its way onto the Blogosphere and I am guessing Biden, who also recently made comments about Indians working at 7-11 & Dunk’in Donuts, is about to take a wallop of negative online press.
