I noted my suspicion the other day that planting audience questions was widespread. Joe Klein appearing on Hardball just confirmed my suspicion saying he had talked to a woman who gave a planted question in 2004 at a Kerry campaign event. He then noted what we all know, which is that president Bush does it as well.

So has anyone asked the other candidates if they do the same?

I find it fascinating when political enemies write candidly and honestly about their opposition. There were few larger figures opposing the Clinton’s in the 90’s than Dick Armey. So it is interesting to read his assessment of Clinton using his experience and a vision of a Republican party that has lost its way to do so.

What you need to understand is that Hillary Clinton is, quite simply, craftier and more aggressive than the rest of the field. I know this firsthand, having battled with the Clinton Administration throughout the 1990’s while serving as a leader in Congress.

She’s only gotten tougher since then.

More bad news for the Clinton campaign as fallout and revelations from her planting of audience questions continues. Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff is providing more detail about how she found herself into the situation suggesting that the Clinton camp came with a binder full of pre-prepared questions with titles suggesting what kind of person should ask them. In her case “college student”.

This suggests a very methodical and heavily used system and it won’t be surprising if the media suddenly digs up a stream of these people.

As I said the other day and will keep saying, what a stupid thing for the campaign to do! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

Aside from a few minor achievements today I spent most of my veterans day vacation either feeling sick or sitting in a doctors office. Luckily I got myself a flu shot, some anti-biotics and some refills so hopefully this unending cold/sinus/whatever is in my sister, will abate in the coming days!

Sunday tends to be devoted to cleaning, cooking and doing laundry around here. It is also the day to catch up on Charlie Rose, Chris Matthews, Meet the Press and lots of other goodies. Yes, I am a geek, hence the name of the site.

I posted some quick things about Obama on MTP this morning and I just wanted to follow up by saying, I worry for Obama. If he does make it through to the general election I have yet to see a lot in his debate performance or in extended talk show formats that will show him holding up well.
