Clinton’s Suicide Strategy
March 26th, 2008
As CNN notes the hints keep coming from Hillary that she is looking to flip pledged delegates as well as superdelegates to her side for the convention in what I can only see as a suicide strategy unless Barack Obama does, says or is found having done something so outrageous, Democrats supporting him simply cannot take it.
In short, there is no way either candidate can secure the nomination today or tomorrow or in the near future on pledged delegates. As I have said many times, the only way to win for Clinton is through the party rules. The problem of course is that the media and many in the party don’t care about the in’s and out’s of the crazy complexity of the DNC primary structure. Instead they have moved onto a simple line of argument, he who has the most toys wins. Unless Clinton can force a wide and far vote majority, possibly even if she can, there is no way to win the nomination for her without making voters feel disenfranchised.
Put simply, if Clinton believes she can take the nomination by flipping delegates and go on to win the general, she is probably sorely mistaken. This would be a suicide strategy and one not easily forgotten by Democrats who would equate her as the Ralph Nader of the 2008 election.

How insightful, it would be a big mistake for hillary to try and overturn pledged delegates to vote for her when the people have spoken.
It sends a really bad message, more so when you consider that one of the most important documents in our history starts with We the People,
What I find hard to believe is that this is something that is even a consideration for anyone running in an election, lets see if I have this correct, the people speak but I know what is best so lets overturn the will of the people and elect me instead.
I think that is a scary thing for a leader who wants to be president.
