Update: Associated Press fact check of Obama ad
Boy did it suck…
There, I said it. Sorry, but it did. Anyone who thought that godawful half an hour was worth the millions of dollars it took to put it on the air, wow you need to get your pulse checked.

Agreed. Obama gave us nothing new. It was a waste of time and money.

I have a vested interest in one party winning, so I couldn't have been swayed either way by the informercial, but why did you find it disappointing? My cursory impression is that it was too victim-centric. I mean, if John McCain were doing this sort of commercial to sell his security policies, I think that it would be equally cheesy for him to use a WTC survivor. Surely the voters that are interested enough to see a 30 minute campaign presentation are mature enough to think abstractly about the problems facing the nation.

Did it add anything new? No. But it reasserted the Obama campaign message of hope. After weeks of attacks by John McCain, I thought it actually made Obama look pretty good. He showed that he's more interested in bringing Americans together than driving them apart to win an election.
But I'm looking at the commercial as someone who doesn't support either candidate. I'm assuming you're a McCain supporter, and there's nothing Obama could possibly do that you would like.

Mr. Obama is an eloquent speaker, the infomercial was well done.
He has wrapped America around his little finger
I think the infomercial was an arrogant “idea” to put himself in a better light than McCain and a tremendous waste of money.
But then what does it matter …IF …he wins, the wealth will be “spread around” and everybody will be paying for it!!!!

I was disappointed there was nothing, just telling us how bad things are. everybody at sometime or another has a tough time. i live in indiana where the economy has slowed down but all the states around us are doing alot worse. the only thing they have i common is they are all run by democrats. it's hard to imagine obama turning the US around when you look at how the state he is from is doing. i've realized that when you think things are bad for you someone has it alot worse all you can do is get back up once your knocked down.. thats what we teach are kids dont we?
