Slow Sunday – Today’s News Roundup

February 17th, 2008

Aside from what could be world changing events in Kosovo and the meeting between Barack Obama and John Edwards that the media are reading all kinds of things into, remember now he also met with Hillary, it was a pretty slow day.

So far I have seen on Drudge that Bill Clinton “lashed out” (Drudge), “sparred” and was in a “heated discussion” with an Obama supporter. From what I read the Obama supporter came to do everything in his power to annoy and disrupt and Clinton wasn’t thrilled by it. The Obama campaign says the guy wasn’t with them, the Clinton spokepeople are denying it was a major confrontation but as usual its being seen as some kind of “crazy” moment for Clinton. Frankly if someone came to where I was speaking and did everything to annoy me, I don’t think I would be happy.

Unfortunetly for Clinton it wasn’t the only incident. A group of anti-abortion protestors also interrupted his speech and ABC News is describing his reaction as “angry“.

Meanwhile the other Clinton and Obama continued attacking each other. The President who is touring Africa jumped in on a question about growing African excitement over Barack Obama by saying “t seemed like there was a lot of excitement for me”.

Finally Wisconsin weather slowed down both the Clinton and Obama campaigns leaving cancelled events on both sides.
