March 11th, 2008

As expected there was a massive racial divide in the Mississippi vote. 91% of African American voters went for Obama, 72% of white voters went for Clinton, AP is reporting only neighboring Arkansas and Alabama were as polarized. 70% of Democrats in Mississippi are African American.

Obama got 55% of the white vote in Wisconsin. 26% of the White in Mississippi. Obama did not change. He was the same candidate in both places with the same message. So it must have something to do with the voters of Mississippi rather than the candidate.
