Advice for Liberals
April 4th, 2008
Replacing crazy conservative talk radio with just as crazy liberal talk radio is not the way to go forward. You know how every time you read a weird, blatantly shocking statement by a conservative radio host your blood boils and you openly wonder how anyone can support them? Well that is what statements like this do to everyone else in America.
Obviously this woman doesn’t represent every liberal in the party anymore than Dr. Laura represents every conservative. With that said, in this time when Democrats are coming close to regaining the White House and dominating Congress, people like this and Reverend Wright and others are your own worst enemy.
Voters are cozying up to the Democrats, trying to take a second look and see if they can ignore all the wacko’s on the far left in order to advance a better agenda for America. They are trying to move past the days of Al Sharpton, Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky just as many tried to move past Limbaugh and Coulter in 2000 & 2004. Middle American and independent voters get so close to wanting to vote Democratic and then someone like this, or David Shuster, Chris Matthews, Jeremiah Wright, Geraldine Ferraro, Jesse Jackson or others say something so blatantly stupid, outrageous or rude that it just makes you want to throw something at the TV and vote for the opposition.
To be quite frank, nobody except for a select few know who Randi Rhodes is, they probably just assume Ozzy Osbournes former guitarist came back to life. All they know is that a crazy person on the left said something crazy and they move on. People like this just help detour voters, helping them believe the Democrats are in-fighting again and are ready to tear the party apart.
In short, crazy people on the left and right need to calm down through November.
