McCain Hits Bush Over Signing Statements

John McCain is speaking in Columbus Ohio and while discussing presidential powers he took a less than veiled shot at President Bush, saying he would not add the controversial “signing statements” to legislation that have been used by President Bush to often clarify his intention not to follow the law he signed. McCain declared that he would not use such statements and suggested they were not intended by the powers of the constitution.
