75,000 Turn Out to See Barack Obama

May 18th, 2008

Today Senator Barack Obama spoke infront of the largest crowd he has assembled to date bringing 75,000 people together in Portland, Oregon. Here is the AP Report.

Here are some highlights.

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,”

Obama stated our relationships with North Korea and Iran have only been further strained by President Bush’s unwillingness to talk with their leaders. He added “I want everybody to be absolutely clear about this because George Bush and McCain have suggested that me being willing to sit down with our adversaries is a sign of weakness and sign of appeasement,” he said.
