How Much Money for Clinton

February 5th, 2007

A couple interesting articles. One from the Washington Times and another one from FOX News both speculating on the kind of money Senator Clinton can raise.

Some might not know yet that the Senator took a pretty bold step. She has refused public campaign financing for both the primary and the general election. Which means at this very moment she can accept $4,600 from each individual donor, about $2,000 more then her counterparts on either side of the isle can raise.

She is also backed by Harold Ickes & Terry McAuliffe both of whom raised record breaking amounts for Bill Clinton and the DNC. So the estimates of how much she will raise? The general idea is that she could be a billion dollar candidate bringing in half a billion during the primaries and half a billion during the election. We will see.
