Obama Supports Decriminalization of Marijuana

January 31st, 2008

The Washington Times reports that though Senator Obama raised his hand in a 2007 debate to declare that he was against the decriminalization of pot, the candidate actually has supported that position in the past and continues to support it. His campaign now says Obama mistakenly raised his hand during the debate.

Interestingly enough Obama’s mistaken vote is reminiscent of his time in the Illinois Senate when Obama reportedly voted wrong six times saying he would vote one way, actually voted a different way and then clarified his position by saying he hit the wrong button.

Obama’s position appears to be that he favors decriminalizing marijuana but not legalizing it.

If I was George W Bush I would want to have my name remembered by all of our great nation. I would do some amazing things and give the country what they want.
    1. Legalize marijuana (just like buying smokes or beer)
    2. Federalize Gas and oil prices put a cap on it and make the sales fare for all.
    3. make all college campuses in the nation allow CWP holders to pack guns to school for protection. stand by the second ammendment rights of americans.
    4. Triple the war against meth and also give more $ to state programs to help addicts get out of the prison system and really get help.

We love ya George and voted for you please do the nation justice and give us what we want. Anyone who does this will go down in time as the best president this nation has ever had.

Obama should do all the same. Hillary Clinton should anyone who becomes the next president should do these things. They would be famous for all time and would secure 80% of americans votes.
