The story of Obama’s perceived “snub” of Senator Clinton at the president’s final State of the Union Address continues. Clinton had this to say:
WALLACE: Finally, Senator Clinton, there was an incident last night at the State of the Union address that is getting a bit of attention. When you get into the hall – we’ll put the picture up — you reached out — Senator Kennedy and Senator Obama were standing side by side. Senator Kennedy shook your hand, and Senator Obama said he was looking to talk to somebody else. Some people are saying that he snubbed to you. Do you feel like you were snubbed you last night?
SEN. CLINTON: Well, Chris, I reached out my hand in friendship and unity and my hand is still reaching out. And I look forward to shaking his hand when I see him at the debate in California. But what is important here is that any differences between us as Democrats pale in comparison to the differences between us and the Republicans, and I think we will have a unified Democratic Party… We will come together, not only as a party, but as a country in this election year, and I am confident that we are going to present a very strong case to the American people as to why Democrats should once again be in the White House
Marc Ambinder also looks at how the media has covered the “snub”.

Reports are that John Edwards will announce he is dropping out of the race today in New Orelans.
The Associated Press reports that Edwards will not immediately endorse a candidate.
A top Edwards aide said the former senator contacted Obama and Clinton on Tuesday, telling them he was considering dropping out of the race and asking them to make poverty a top issue of their campaigns and — if either reaches the White House — a central part of their administration.
Both candidates agreed, the aide said.
Obama made the following statement on the withdrawl of John Edwards:
“John Edwards has spent a lifetime fighting to give voice to the voiceless and hope to the struggling, even when it wasn’t popular to do or covered in the news. At a time when our politics is too focused on who’s up and who’s down, he made a nation focus again on who matters – the New Orleans child without a home, the West Virginia miner without a job, the families who live in that other America that is not seen or heard or talked about by our leaders in Washington. John and Elizabeth Edwards have always believed deeply that we can change this – that two Americans can become one, and that our country can rally around this common purpose. So while his campaign may end today, the cause of their lives endures for all of us who still believe that we can achieve that dream of one America.â€
Clinton reaction:
Sphere: Related ContentWell Senator Edwards is a friend of mine, he was a colleague in the senate and I have the highest regard for him, and I’m really admiring of what he has done to make sure that poverty was on the agenda here in America. He encouraged all of us in his passion and advocacy and I hope he will continue that work because it is really important that we stay focused on what we’re going to do to help people.

In South Carolina Mitt Romney interrupted John McCain’s concession speech and tonight he did the same thing to Rudy Giuliani who was giving a past tense laden speech in Florida. I don’t doubt that the Romney camp wasn’t happy to hear rumors of a potential endorsement by Giuliani of McCain tomorrow and may have feared that it was going to take place tonight. With that said, the guy could have been a little more gracious and let Giuliani have a moment.

The Demoratic candidates agreed not to campaign in Florida until the primary vote is done and though the win won’t matter in terms of delegates Clinton will hit the state the moment the polls close tonight.
The Clinton camp is saying votes matter regardless of the delegate count and if she wins tonight as many expect she will be able to show that millions turned out for her even if the party took away their convention representation.
