The above is from, of all days, September 11th, 1998. Clinton was in his contrition phase at that point in his presidency, atoning for his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
Posted by an anonymous member of Jeremiah Wright’s Chicago church on a blog titled “The Truth About Trinity United Church of Christ,” the caption states that Obama’s pastor was at the White House for a meeting of religious leaders.
“Pastor Wright was invited to the White House TWICE! This man is a true patriot and a powerful minister of the gospel,” writes the blogger.
It’s unsaid what the other event was.
According to Hillary Clinton’s recently released WH records she was at the gathering of religious leaders at the White House that day.

Well hopefully that will get the Clinton camp to stop talking about it at least. This has to be the most ridiculous story… well in awhile.

Slick Barry Obama is the biggest hypocrite yet. Saying this is a good man, then trying to get a negative reaction out of the man meeting your opponent’s husband? Keystone Cops once again, from an inexperienced campaign. Slick Barry is past his peak, it’s all downhill now.

it proves the Clintons will throw anyone under the bus. it’s also being claimed Wright counseled Clinton about Monica. More than just showing up at a dinner. And lest we forget, Hillary has been trying to erase her past, and does not want to end the week on MONICA, MONICA, MONICA. Bill will have to explain this in relation to MONICA! LOL!

Things take a slightly different perspective when viewed in the right context.
Whether one agrees with Reverend Wright or not, it seems to me that he has been unfairly demonized to make a media controversy.

I was wondering why Reverend Wright would create such a media spectacle knowing it would hurt Obama’s campaign. Old allegiances die hard

I have the feeling Rev. Wright could care less about Obama and more about getting his 15 minutes of fame.
